Me and the kids went on a play date with my friend Monica and her kids today. We had a 1 yr old, a 2 yr old, a 3 year old and a 4 yr old! The kids were playing and Alex got upset and decided to sit in the middle of this structure with big kids running all around and I didn't want him to get hurt so I handed my iced coffee to Mallory (my 2 year old) and scaled this rock wall thing to rescue him. In the meantime, he got up and went down the slide. I had two choices....go down the stairs or go down the slide.
I decided to be wild and crazy and took the slide.....and my @ss got stuck. Right there in the middle....I was wedged into the slide. I was so embarrassed and my first thought was 'thank god this isn't happening when it would embarrass my children...I have got to do something!' So I'm going to blow up a couple copies of this slide and put them all over the house. Hips don't lie!
And then I came home and ate this....my leftover steak weighed 2 oz, so I only ate 4 oz last night. An amazing thing happened. While I was eating this...my kids were stealing veggies off my plate! AH HA MOMENT!
Here is the salad dressing that I just discovered! It is Ken's Steakhouse Fat Free Raspberry Pecan. It is soooo good! Here is the skinny...2 tablespoons have 50 calories, 12 grams of carbs, and 10 grams of sugar. Only bad thing...is that it has High Fructose Corn Syrup which I'm trying to avoid but if it helps me eat more SALAD which is totally good for me...then I will take the HFCS.
Hey Connie-Like a true friend I am laughing my head off at you being stuck on the slide, cause thats the kind of girl I am.....I have been there myself. :)
ReplyDeleteYum that salad dressing is good!! If the kids see you eating it they'll eventually take part. I keep telling myself this. Hopefully it will turn out to be true and it's not just something someone made up to make us moms feel better.
ReplyDeleteGood luck this week Connie. Once I get in a groove I can really start making progress. It's the part about getting into the groove that's the problem for me. :-)
Much love from NJ,

Oh my, I think I've been there! (Stuck on something, that is!) Good luck this week, maybe the slide is the push you'll need this week; me, I just got back from dinner at the mexican restaurant (oy!) but no margaritas, just water, and I head Machaca (skirt steak and eggs/no cheese) which was really good. I love Ken's dressings, I like the light italian; same calories, but not sweet. What a great plate of veggies you have there, looks good!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie! You are such a good mom. I remember when Ella was about that age and got stuck in the playland at McDonalds. I had to climb up to the top of the thing and she was screaming bloody murder.
ReplyDeleteThat salad dressing looks great! I am having a hard week with EM:ME. I don't even want to post about it.
XOXO

Ya know they make those slides EXTRA SKINNY for all those tiny little toddler bottoms :)
ReplyDeleteYour on the right track Connie. Keep doing what you're doing and don't get discouraged.
ReplyDeleteEmbarrassing for you...but funny for us! I'm sorry though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the dressing ...Dang I just bought a bunch of Ken's on an amazing sale a couple weeks ago...didn't get this kind!
I also wanted to tell you I've given you an award on my blog!
Darn Xazmin!! She beat me to it :) I, too have sent you an award! Come and see :)
ReplyDeleteLove the dressing...anything raspberry...mmmmmm
Ha! Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. But that IS a little funny. :) I wouldn't even dare for fear it might happen to me as well!! Great idea to put pics up around the house, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat salad dressing does sound yummy. I always just skip over it, b/c hubby is allergic to tree nuts. We use fat free ranch or fat free thousand island. Those are good too!
My question is, did your 2 year old drink your iced coffee? How did you know this?? Because she ended up bouncing off the walls, lol.
