Week Three Released:  4 pounds      2     %
Week Four Released:    .4 pounds

Another small loss.  I learned something this weekend while lurking on a the hCG Yahoo Group message board.  The weight that I get to with this diet will be my weight unless I do this again.  I had planned to continue after this with exercise and watching what I eat but apparently, I really will be resetting my hypothalamus and it will be not be possible to get below that weight.  So...if I only get down to 175 and I really want to be 150, I will have to go through all of this again.

I'm a planner so I immediately got out my day planner and started counting....and if I did this again.  I could do a short round (23 days), load on my daughter's birthday (cake baby) and be done by my son's birthday.  I can't believe that I'm already thinking ahead to the next round but I guess it is a testament to how easy it's become for me.

What isn't easy?  Cooking cheese enchiladas for my family and then watching my daughter push them away.  You should have seen me and Bobbi eyeballing that cheese.....

P.S. Bobbi lost nothing again yesterday.  I think the reason is that she hasn't been overweight very long (2 years) and she doesn't have the abnormal fat that people that have been overweight for many years have.  That is what the hCG draws from...the abnormal fat...like on my @ss.

  1. Yay! I support your decision to go for a "round 2", especially if it's working for you and you feel like you can do it. You're smart to think ahead! That's why I like ya!

  2. Thinking ahead shows your dedication to long term weight loss.

I didn't know that exercising and all of that would "reset" your hypothalimus (?). Thats kind of a bummer.

Hey, have you taken a pregnancy test just for grins??

  3. have you read the simeons protocol? I am kinda durprised your dr didn't explain this. I can send you some links to more info if you are interested.

I gained two lbs yesterday! Wtf!! I hope my scale is lying. I about had a panic attac:k. I didn't do well with water yesterday but I also had a good day with hunger. I made your chili with fresh salsa. Yum. Maybe it was bc I didn't eat until 8 pm?? Gah...

  4. Congrats on another loss. It's great to see how easy this is going for you.

I have to be honest that I think it's strange that you'll stay on the same weight after you finished. To me that's hard to believe but then again I'm not familiar with this diet.

  6. Hmm...that assertion is probably worth some greater research. I find it difficult to believe that the Hcg protocol truly turns off your bodies response to the basic calorie in/calorie out process. Clearly, it doesn't work in reverse. You can certainly gain back weight from the low-point set in protocol, right?

Regardless, keep on keeping on Connie! Oh...and .4 in a day is no small loss...hehe.

  9. You are doing so great!!! My friend that lost 60 pounds did it 4 times over about a year. But she has kept it off and I think it's been about 3 years.

    Awesome Connie!

    XOXO
