WOOT! I hit the 20 pound mark!  I have to be honest....I was hoping for more by this point.  I feel like my body is resisting me every single step of the way and my brain is in on it.  I'm been having a really hard time with the diet the last few days.  Eating the same things every day and making food for my family that I can't eat is taking it's toll on me.

I've gone from wanting to do a second round and losing as much weight as I can....to wanting to quit and be happy with this weight.  I want a sandwich so bad I can taste it! The realization that carbs are a long way off yet is frustrating to me.

But I just keep telling myself that this isn't forever and I've carried this weight for 20 years so there is NO reason why I can't make sacrifices for 49 days.  And then maybe 29 more.

Bobbi and I are going brave the snow and go to the mall today.  I'm excited to look at clothes and see what I might be able to wear in the near future.

Have a great day!

  9. Connie,

I passed your url to one of my SILs on the Hcg protocol. Since she hasn't acknowledged my e-mail, who knows.

Anyway, I'm very intersted in getting greater clarification that the Hcg protocol sets your metabolism to essentially become dependent on Hcg for further losses. This is something you mentioned reading from a yahoo group.

Any more research done on that?

Hang in there and keep your eye on the prize!

  10. Wow Connie - I am so impressed. Twenty pounds is great! If you forget how great it is go to the grocery store and pick up a 20lb bag of potatoes. That is what you've "released" from your life! I'm inspired!

  11. Twenty pounds is great Connie. I am so proud of you!

Take a few pictures of the items you want to buy when you are at your target weight. Then put the pictures on the bathroom mirror and the door of the refridge.

    Keep up the good work.

  12. Congrats Conny! Such a great result!

Is there a reason why you have to eat the same every day?
